Trouble And Money #45
There may have been distrust toward Jason because he was Amerikanskiy and it's quite possible he was rejected for service.

In My Truck On 101 East
My friends in the shadows came through somehow and answered my two questions.
Jason Falter made it to Warsaw, and according to passport records, he is past the 90-day stay limit before he must apply for a visa.

In Poland, Jason Falter is a wanted man.
How would Jason end up in a Ukrainian prison? If he made it to the Russian side and declared himself to be "Dobrovolcheskaya armiya" or volunteer for the Army, he may have been captured and thrown into the clink.
There may have been distrust toward Jason because he was Amerikanskiy and it's quite possible he was rejected for service.
Was Jason Falter better off in a Ukrainian prison? Russians who surrender are used in prisoner swaps to get Ukrainians out of Russian P.O.W. camps.
If Jason is in a standard Ukrainian prison, life will be hard for him. Given the political climate, he might be considered a bargaining asset for dealing with the American government, which is an ally to Ukraine.
A harsh prison gives Jason better odds of living than on the front lines of either side.
The Falters will most likely try to use government back channels to probe and find out their son's status.
If Jason is in prison, the Ukrainian government will try to obfuscate that fact for now, and if I am right, I should start packing my bags.
Someone will have to verify that Jason Falter is in prison in Ukraine.
For something like this, nothing is better than boots on the ground.
I'll wait for the Falter's call.

Tammy saw Conrad pull into the driveway. Gator got up, yawned, and stretched while staring out the door.
Tammy had a bottle of beer in one hand and was wearing pretty much...nothing.
The two stood there waiting for the door to open.
They stood there for almost twenty minutes before Conrad walked in the door.
"Is this a surprise party?" "Hey, you look fantastic holding that beer naked."
He stepped toward Tammy, held her close, and kissed her. "I got caught in a phone call just before I got out of the truck." "I had to take it." "Business."
Tammy was happy to see Conrad, but what was so important on the phone, she thought?
Conrad let Gator out, and he stepped back to kiss Tam. He picked her up and carried her into the bedroom.
Dinner will have to wait.
An hour later, Gator scratched at the door, and everyone was hungry.
There was beef stroganoff in the crock, and cold beer was in the fridge.
"Tam, we have stuff to discuss and I need your opinions again."
Tammy shrugged and looked at Conrad. She smiled and said, "I know you're going to Ukraine."
"I know you'll come back. We'll be okay."
(I think Tammy is a stronger winner than I initially thought.)
